In August 2017 Laura Mallows and I Drove around England in a Volvo estate. Sleeping in a make shift bed in the back and cooking on a stove we bounced around the UK. Here is a selection of the responsive work that came out of that period.
'Following Foam' - 09/08/17 performance at Flambourough Headland, north Yorkshire.
The next two pieces where made in the woods north of Ardentinny on the banks of Loch Long. We found a flat Clearing in the woods full of skeleton pines and crisp lichen which dropped and slid us into a sinking peat bog and a long deep beach to the loch. The whole days work was done in the presence of the Coulport Missile Base across the loch from where we where. This grey floating warehouse is the storage bunker for all trident weapons and is where the United Kingdoms nuclear submarines, stored in the next loch over at HMNB Clyde come to be armed before missions and training. A 24 hour patrol boat was constantly pacing the loch and became our audience for the day, moving closer and peering through their binoculars as things heated up...
